Python Developer

About the Role

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Key Responsibilities

  Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

• 2

  0 to 2 years of relevant experience in Applications Development, preferably within the Financial Services industry.

• 3

  Strong proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.

• 4

  Extensive experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• 5

  Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM libraries.

• 6

  Experience with RESTful API design and development, along with Agile development methodologies.

Requirements

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality Python applications and services.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Analyzing applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conducting testing and debugging.
• Consulting with users, clients, and other technology groups to recommend programming solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Identifying system enhancements and serving as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
• Assessing risk and driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations while safeguarding company assets.
