About the Role
MedCrypt is looking for a Junior Full Stack Engineer to build features that medical device manufacturers and security teams rely on daily. You will work across backend APIs, data pipelines, and modern web UIs, paired with senior engineers and given real ownership from day one. MedCrypt is a YC-funded healthcare cybersecurity startup with $25M raised.
Key Responsibilities

Build and ship features across backend APIs, data pipelines, and modern web applications for MedCrypt's product portfolio.

Write clean, well-tested code including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in peer code reviews.
- 3
Design and execute manual and automated test plans to validate new features before production releases.
- 4
Collaborate with product, design, and customer success to scope features and turn feedback into shipped improvements.
- 5
Participate in on-call rotation (with senior support) and help triage and resolve production issues.
Requirements
- 1 year of professional software engineering experience, or a CS degree with relevant internship/project experience.
- Comfortable writing code in at least one modern backend language (Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or similar).
- Familiarity with JavaScript and a modern frontend framework, ideally React.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and writing SQL.
- Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, or end-to-end) and working in a CI/CD environment.
